Trinitas Ventures

October 2020 I joined a team of on an upcoming student housing community called The One Ann Arbor. I was always curious in working with real estate, so this was a perfect opportunity to break out of my own bubble and to develop a well rounded skillset. Eventually this progressed into taking on a contract lead graphic design role with The One’s parent company, Trinitas Ventures. The main skill I’ve developed from working under them was evolving my video editing capabilities (as well as keeping my design skills up to speed).

Property collateral

Trinitas has a growing portfolio of student housing properties across the nation. One key responsibility I had was to manage and execute on creative projects for resident events. This included making print collateral, digital collateral, and apparel!

The process of these were consisted of roughly thumbnailing pieces on a notepad and finding inspiration in a couple of key colors. It was key in working with Trinitas that I was to produce work very quickly, so building a mental repository of attractive sans serif fonts and color combinations was paramount to my success. I characterize the work as fun and bright. All of these were made on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Other useful resources were some stock image sites like Envato Elements and Unsplash. Take a look at some examples below!

Videos

As a new development, it was imperative for The One to be aggressive in terms of advertising. One task my former manager delegated to me was to create promotional videos to be used as advertisements on social media, as well as rental listing sites like UHomes.com. Previously Trinitas outsourced this task, which ended up costed a significant amount and left the company with little control with what the outcome looked like. Self-teaching myself the fundamentals of Adobe Premiere was a challenging, yet exciting task! At the end I was able to use my knowledge learned to enhance The One’s online presence, save on their budget, and provide another creative tool to drive leads.
